Women's Golf Heads to Minnesota

CARBONDALE, Ill. - After a 12-day layoff, the Southern Illinois University women's golf team returns to action this weekend at the Minnesota Invitational. The two-day event takes place Sat.-Sun., Sept. 20-21 at the Les Bolstad University of Minnesota Golf Course.

Teams participating in this year's tournament will play 36 holes on Saturday with the first round beginning at 9 a.m. (shotgun start). The second round will immediately follow at approximately 1:30 p.m. Play will be continuous throughout the day. Sunday's final round tees off with another shotgun start at 8 a.m. The U of M course plays at a par 72, 6,108-yard layout.

Minnesota, Northern Iowa, East Tennessee State, Eastern Washington, Bradley, Southwest Missouri State, Northern Illinois, North Dakota State, North Dakota, Minnesota State, Southwestern Minnesota State and St. Cloud State will also compete.
