RICHMOND, Ky. - The Salukis returned to the courts with another solid effort as the Dawgs defeated Lipscomb University, 4-3, Saturday in thier first win of spring season.
The middle part of the line-up dished out the damage for the Salukis against Lipscomb Saturday. Juniors Lukasz Soswa and Julian Angel Botero both were able to come away with easy victories as Soswa defeated Zach Bowen 6-3, 6-1, and Botero won with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Matt Chappell.
The Salukis dominated Lipscomb in doubles play going 3-0 to get the doubles point. Soswa and sophomoe Bojan Ilievski defeated Andrew Harris and Bowmen 8-4, while junior Alex Nomicos and Botero beat Mike Sherman and Pedro Franco, 8-5. Senior Peter Bong and sophomore Tomas Gonzalez won, 8-4, over Jonathan Houston and Chappell.
