Kelly Gerlach Named MVC Women's Golfer of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Sophomore Kelly Gerlach was named Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Gerlach, a native of Sparta, Ill., shot a 79-91-73--233 to finish tied for 42nd in the Kent Youel Invitational in Oahu, Hawaii. The Salukis came back strong in the final round of the two-day tournament having shot a 316-323-306--945 to finish 14th. Defending NCAA National Champion UCLA (859) shot five-under-par to win the 15-team tournament.

Gerlach, who won her second golfer of the week honor this fall, led the Salukis, with a 76.20 average through ten rounds of golf.
