Women's Golf Finishes Third At Snowbird Classic

TAMPA, Fla. - The women's golf team ended the 18th Annual Snowbird Classic in third place Friday, giving Southern Illinois University its third top ten finish this spring.
The Salukis shot a (319-305) 624 at Pebble Creek Golf Course (par 72) to move from fourth place to third on the second - and final - day of action. James Madison (604) and Southern Mississippi (617) occupied the first two final spots.
Freshman Kelly Gerlach scored a two over par 74 (76-74-150) to finish tied for third place overall, while Amy Rankin hit a 73 (77-73-150) to also tie for third. Samantha Sutzer (83-71-161) finished tied for 23rd, Megan Tarrolly (83-82-165) finished tied for 37th and Stephanie Pate (93-80-173) finished tied for 55th place.
