CARBONDALE, Ill. - The men's tennis team dropped its fourth consecutive Missouri Valley match today at the SIU Arena Tennis Courts as the Salukis were tagged with another loss by the Bears of Southwest Missouri State.
The Salukis came into the weekend looking to shake off their last three losses and get back on the winning track, but that idea did not pan out as the Bears handed the Dawgs a 6-1 defeat. The only Saluki to post a win was junior Alexandru Nomicos who battled it out with Paufl Honek for a three set victory (4-6, 6-0, 10-5).
The Salukis fall to 9-8 (1-4 MVC) after today's loss but will try their luck again tomorrow as they welcome Wichita State. Tomorrow's match will begin at 10:00 am at the SIU Arena Tennis Courts.
