WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State's defense dominated as the Shockers rolled the Salukis, 3-0, in Missouri Valley Conference volleyball action Saturday at the Charles Koch Arena.
The Shockers (15-2, 7-0), the number one team in the MVC this season, forced the Salukis (5-11, 2-5) to drop their second straight conference match of the weekend, 30-26, 30-17, 30-17.
"They're a good team and they forced us out of our system," Saluki head coach Brenda Winkeler said. "We didn't pass well and we couldn't generate our offense."
SIU was held to .183 at the net, while WSU hit .321 on the night, adding 54 digs, including 20 from Shocker libero Kelly Brossard.
