CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki football coach Jerry Kill was released from a St. Louis hospital on Thursday and returned to his home in Carterville. No decision has been made whether or not he will coach in Saturday's game at Missouri State.
"This is certainly a positive step," said SIU's defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys. "He's at home resting. I imagine he's watching the Cardinals' World Series game tonight like most everyone else in southern Illinois."
Kill had been hospitalized since he suffered a seizure on Sunday. Claeys said Kill and his family are extremely grateful for the support of friends, family and the community during his hospital stay.
