Morris and Parker leave women's basketball team

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Elyse Morris and Teresa Parker have decided to leave the Southern Illinois University women's basketball team to pursue other opportunities closer to home.
Morris, a two-year starter, averaged 5.8 points and ranked third on the team with 4.1 rebounds a game, while Parker led the Salukis with 13 blocks as a freshman.
"I appreciate their contibutions to our program and wish them the best," said Saluki head coach Dana Eikenberg.
Both Morris and Parker will be enrolled at SIU through the spring.
