Riley earns MVC weekly honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southern Illinois thrower Brittany Riley was named the Missouri Valley Conference Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
Riley highlighted the Drake Relays with a second-place finish in the women's hammer. The sophomore threw 194-03 in the event. She currently ranks first in the hammer and sixth in the shot and discus this season in the Valley. Nationally she's ranked third in the hammer.
This is Riley's fifth MVC honor of the year, first of the outdoor season.
