Cross Country women take sixth at Bradley Invitational

PEORIA, Ill. - The Southern Illinois women's cross country team traveled to Peoria, Ill. today for the Bradley University Classic. The Salukis finished sixth out of 17 teams with a score of 198.
SIU's top finisher was sophomore Nefeteri Williams with a time of 21:54, which placed her in 18th of 171 runners. Just behind Williams was A'Seret Dokubo in 22nd with a time of 22:01.
Also competing for the Salukis were Megan Hoelscher (28th, 22:07), Ryan Eichelberger (98th, 23:38), Katie Rick (110th, 23:58), Merry Lanker (116th, 24:09) and Brittany Whitelock (130th, 24:27).
The Saluki women will return to action on Oct. 27 when they travel to Waterloo, Iowa for the State Farm MVC Championships.
