CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois' Jayme Sweere grabbed the rebound on an Ellen Young missed 3-pointer with seven seconds on the clock that would have tied the score against Austin Peay and sent the game to overtime, but a miscue by Sweere turned the ball over and the game, falling to the Lady Govs, 75-72, Wednesday night in Dave Aaron Arena.
The Salukis (1-5) blew their first half time lead of the season, 41-33, as the Lady Govs (2-3) opened the second half on a 17 to 9 run tying the game at 50 all with 12:35 left to play.
