Stuart wins silver at Pan American Junior Championships

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois track and field athlete Bianca Stuart represented the Bahamas at the Pan American Junior Championships, July 6-8 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, capturing the silver medal in the long jump Saturday.
Stuart leaped 20-01 (6.12m) with her final jump, moving from fifth to second in the standings.
In two years as a Saluki, Stuart has won three of four Missouri Valley Conference long jump titles, holding both the indoor and outdoor records in the event at SIU. In 2007, the soon-to-be junior finished in the top-15 at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
