Saluki Media Services Hires New Graduate Assistant

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University has announced Kyle Herm of Otsego, Mich. as a new graduate assistant in media services and recipient of the 2007-08 Fred Huff Media Services Scholarship.
Herm, who will be earning a master's degree in sports management, will be responsible for the media services for both the men's golf and softball programs and will assist with the coverage of other sports such as football, basketball and volleyball.
Prior to joining the SIU athletic media services department, he worked in public relations for the Toledo Mud Hens baseball organization, the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, in Toledo, Ohio.
Herm graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich. in April of 2007 with a degree in public relations. During his senior year he worked as a student employee in the athletic media relations office, was the Vice President of Communication for the Public Relations Organization and Vice President of Public Relations for the Student Alumni Association.
