Volleyball tabs three on all-tournament team over the weekend

MOREHEAD, Ky. - Three Saluki volleyball players were named to the MSU Comfort Inn and Suites Invitational All-Tournament Team the sports information office at Morehead State released Monday.
Southern Illinois was 3-0 on the weekend, taking matches from West Virginia (3-1), host Morehead State (3-1) and Eastern Kentucky (3-0).
Sophomore middle blocker Marina Medic was named the Most Valuable Player, while sophomore outside hitter Kelsie Laughlin and junior setter Brooklyn Robbins were also named to the team.
Medic hit .510 on the weekend with just two errors in 51 attempts. She recorded 28 kills on the weekend for a 2.55 average. She also chipped in two solo and 16 block assists for a 1.64 average.
Laughlin averaged 4.00 kills and 2.00 digs per game, recording a double-double against West Virginia with a career-high 18 kills and 10 digs.
Robbins anchored the Saluki offense to a .291 hitting percentage on the weekend to lead the league. She posted 11.00 assists and 3.18 digs per game including two double-doubles on the weekend.
