CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University moved up four spots in the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches Poll this week.
The Salukis, who knocked off FBS (formerly IA) opponent Northern Illinois on the road on Sept. 8, are among the top-six teams in the country for the first time since ranking fourth on Nov. 7, 2005.
Prior to this week, SIU had gone 18-straight weeks garnering a ranking of no higher than seventh in the poll.
