CARBONDALE, Ill.-Southern Illinois University junior inside linebacker Brandin Jordan was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week Sunday.
A native of Kenner, La., Jordan had a team-high 11 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss to lead SIU to a 33-0 shutout against Youngstown State.
