Spots still available for winter softball camps

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Spots are still available for the Saluki softball program's annual winter hitting and pitching camps.
The camps will focus on developing skills, and feature instruction from the SIU coaching staff and players.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and 2009 Saluki softball schedule poster that they will be able to have autographed.
The pitching camp will be held Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Jan. 9-10. The cost of the four hour camp is $70 and is open to 2nd through 12th graders.
The hitting camp will take place Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Jan. 16-17. The four hour camp also costs $70 and is available for 5th through 12th graders.
The youth camp, for 1st through 5th graders, will be held Sunday, Jan. 18 from 12-2 p.m. The cost is $35 and will focus on the fundamentals of hitting and defense.
