Deloney named MVC Track Athlete of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Southern Illinois freshman Brandon Deloney was named this week's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
Deloney, a St. Louis, Mo. native, became the first Missouri Valley Conference runner to regionally qualify this season. He won the 200-meter dash, regionally qualifying in the event in a time of 21.31 and finished second in the 100 in a time of 10.87 at the SEMOtion Relays Saturday, April 5.
This is Deloney's first weekly honor.
The Salukis will be back in action on Saturday, April 12 when they travel to Oxford, Miss., to compete in the Ole Miss Invitational.
