MARION, Ill.-Former Southern Illinois University third baseman Tyler Lairson went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI in his debut with the Southern Illinois Miners Friday at Rent One Park.

Lairson, who hit out of the nine-hole, hit a two-run homer in his second at-bat to give the Miners an early 5-0 lead. Southern Illinois went on to beat Traverse City, 6-2.
