Daugherty wins LPGA Midwest Section Senior Championship

BATAVIA, Ohio. - Women's golf head coach Diane Daugherty won the 2008 LPGA Midwest Section Senior Championship in Cincinnati, Ohio yesterday.
The championship was held at Elks Run Golf Course, where Daugherty concluded with a 145 (74-71) to take home the senior division win. Jamie Fischer of Gurnee, Ill. won the championship division with a 139 (72-67) making her the four time consecutive champion. Faith Egli of Mogadore, Ill. took second spot with a 148 (75-73).
Daugherty and the women's golf team will kick off their season Sept. 14-15 at the Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo.
