Softball splits two games Saturday at Illinois Collegiate Championship

Illinois Collegiate Championship Sunday Bracket

NORMAL, Ill. - The Saluki softball team beat Western Illinois 3-1, but lost to Illinois 10-6 to slit their two games Saturday at the State Farm Illinois Collegiate Softball Championship at champion fields in Normal, Ill.

Southern Illinois will play in the silver bracket on Sunday and take on Missouri Valley Conference opponent Bradley at 12:30 p.m. SIU will then face either Illinois State or Eastern Illinois at 3 p.m. to conclude the exhibition tournament.

The Salukis are now 2-2 in fall exhibition action after going 1-1 last weekend at the Saluki Invitational at Charlotte West Stadium.
