TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Southern Illinois (4-11, 0-6) women's basketball team was held to its lowest point total of the season, falling on the road at Indiana State (9-8, 5-1), 63-37. The Salukis dropped their seventh-straight contest, falling to 0-6 in the Missouri Valley Conference Thursday night at the Hulman Center.

The teams traded baskets, the Salukis holding their final lead of the game, 12-11, on an Adrianne Griffith 3-pointer with just under 11 minutes left in the first half.
A Deja Mattox jumper at the 10:28 mark put the Sycamores back on top, the start of a 16-to-6 run to close out the half and take a nine-point lead into the locker room at the break.
Both teams started the second half slow offensively combining for seven points in the first five minutes of the period.
The Sycamores turned up the heat shooting 11-of-16 from the field in the final fifteen minutes of the game out-scoring the Salukis 32-to-16.
