No. 1 Southern Illinois (9-1, 8-0 MVFC) meets Southeast Missouri State (2-8, 1-7 OVC) for the 75th time in program history this Saturday at Houck Stadium in Cape Girardeau, Mo. for the final regular season game of the 2009 season... Kickoff for the game between the Redhawks and Salukis is set for 1 p.m. and video streaming is available through the KFVS-12 website... Fans can listen to all the action with "Voice of the Salukis" Mike Reis, Gene Green and Joel Sambursky on the Saluki Sports Network beginning at noon on WVZA-FM 105.1 in Carbondale... Southern Illinois became the first team in MVFC history to finish a season with an 8-0 league record, as the Salukis have captured the 2009 conference championship.... SIU remained the No. 1-ranked team in the Sports Network and Any Given Saturday polls this week. The Dawgs trailed Montana by just 13 points for the top spot in the FCS Coaches Poll... The Salukis enter the final regular season game of 2009 looking for their 10th win, which would be just the fifth, 10-win season in program history and the fourth since 2003... The non-conference matchup in the regular season finale is SIU's third in the last four years. The Salukis won at Hampton in 2007 and beat Southern Utah at home in 2006... Southern Illinois has won its last 11 regular season games in the month of November... Senior running back Deji Karim continues to pace the Saluki offense. He has rushed for 1,357 yards this season, has 14 rushing touchdowns and averages 7.2 yards per carry... Defensively the Salukis lead the nation with 21 interceptions and the Dawgs are plus-15 in the turnover department.
