SAAC donates to Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee donated 600 dollars to the Carbondale Boys and Girls Club. The proceeds were raised during the second annual Kids Night Out last Friday.
A total of 214 children age 3 to 12 attended Kids Night Out to play games and spend the evening with student-athlete volunteers. This year's event proved to be twice as successful.
Brooke Morgan, Coordinator of Life Skills, was impressed with the turnout and proud of the contribution made to the Carbondale Boys and Girls Club.
"We would like to thank all the families who came to our event," said Morgan. "We were able to donate $600 to The Boys and Girls Club and we look forward to next years event. The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee put so much time and effort into this event and we could not of asked for a better turn out."
