SASF donation deadline for Saluki fans is Friday

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The deadline for Saluki football and basketball fans to make a donation to the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund (SASF) is fast approaching. In order to receive parking and seating privileges for the 2009-10 seasons, SASF donations must be in place by noon on Friday, June 12.
All gifts to the SASF go directly to offset scholarship costs for the 350-plus student-athletes who attend Southern Illinois University. Gifts have been arriving at a record pace, according to Associate Athletic Director Chet Savage.
"The financial support we receive through the Saluki Athletic Scholarship Fund remains critical to our future success," Savage said. "And as we move closer to the opening of the new stadium and renovated arena, SASF point totals gained through SASF contributions will play an important role in the seat selection process."
Friday is also the deadline for 2008 Saluki Football season ticket holders to renew their seats and receive the Early Bird Discount on their 2009 Saluki Football season tickets. After Friday, all season tickets will increase to the 2009 prices. Season tickets are also available for non-2008 season ticket holders.
