CARBONDALE, Ill. - Silkworm, Inc. and Saluki Athletics have teamed up in designing a t-shirt to commemorate the final season in McAndrew Stadium.
The t-shirts are priced at $10 and are being sold at a variety of distribution outlets including Old National Bank: Carbondale, Schnucks and DeSoto locations, Silkworm, Inc., Carbondale Kroger, SIU Ticket Office, Saluki Bookstore, Stadium Grille, 710 Bookstore, Harbaughs and The Saluki Bar in Chicago. For those out-of-town Saluki fans, the t-shirts may also be purchased online at www.siualumni.com. All proceeds benefit the new football stadium as part of the Saluki Way project.
Vice President of Silkworm Inc., Cheryl Endres, is excited for the unique design and recognition of the final season at McAndrew.
"It's got the all-over print of the stadium with the fans in the seats in the background, so no shirt will be exactly alike because of the printing method," Endres said. "In addition, we took the 73 years logo and made it the focal point of the shirt itself. We thought it would be a nice commemorative shirt for the last season at McAndrew Stadium."
The t-shirts are on sale now, so get one while they last and help support Saluki Way. "Every little bit helps," said Endres. "When we do this once or twice a year, it makes a huge difference."
