INF Jerry Hairston, Jr. (New York Yankees) was traded to the Yankees by the Cincinnati Reds on July 31...in 89 games, Hairston has batted .258 with 29 RBI and eight HR's...currently 13 games away from playing in his 1,000 career game.
RHP Jason Frasor (Toronto Blue Jays) currently holds a 5-2 record and a 2.09 ERA, in addition to four saves...in 38.2 innings of work, he has struck out 35 batters while giving only 10 walks.
LHP Tyler Norrick (Springfield Cardinals/Double A Affiliate of St. Louis) holds a 2-0 record and a 3.83 ERA in 54 innings pitched...his 73 strikeouts rank second on the team and opposing batters are only hitting .212 against him.
RHP Jordan Powell (Lancaster JetHawks/Single A Affiliate of Houston) has pitched in 36 games, recording a 4-2 record and a 3.43 ERA over 63 innings pitched.
