Cross Country ranked in USTFCCCA Regional Polls

New Orleans, La.- The SIU men's and women's cross country teams earned regional honors as it both made the list on the Midwest region poll released by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released on Monday.
The SIU men came in at No. 5 behind Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Minnesota and Iowa State. Conference rivals Illinois State and Drake came in at No. 12 and No. 15 respectively.
Indiana State made the list at No. 9 on the Great Lakes regional poll.
The SIU women came in at No. 15 with Minnesota grabbing the No. 1 spot on its Midwest poll.
Both teams opened up its season on Sept. 11 at the Panther Open in Charleston, Ill. and will next host the Saluki Invitational on Sept. 26.
