SIU Cross Country to host Saluki Early Bird tonight

Carbondale, Ill.- The Southern Illinois men's and women's cross country team will host the Saluki Early Bird tonight in the team's preseason warm up.
The Salukis will host Missouri and Southeast Missouri State with the women starting the meet off at 5:30 p.m. with a 4K and the men will follow at 6 p.m. with a 6K.
The SIU men are the defending 2008 Missouri Valley Conference champions and were also picked to finish first in the conference preseason poll while the women were picked to finish fourth.
The course starting point is located behind Abe Martin Field.
