Cross Country to finish regular season at Bradley Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki cross country teams will wrap up their regular season this Friday, as they head to Peoria, Ill., for the Bradley Classic.
Southern Illinois will be one of 24 schools competing at Newman Golf Course. SIU is also one of five Missouri Valley Conference schools in the field, as host Bradley, Drake, Illinois State, and Northern Iowa are part of a field that includes Missouri, Iowa State, Illinois, Loyola Chicago, and Northwestern.
The women's 5K race will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the men's race at 4:45 p.m.
Last season, the Saluki women's team took third place at the Bradley Classic, trailing only Wisconsin and Bradley in the final team standings. The last time the men's team competed in Peoria was in 2006, when they finished in fourth.
