Women's Golf finishes in a tie for 10th at Oral Roberts Shootout

TULSA, Okla. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team wrapped up play in the Oral Roberts Shootout in a tie for 10th place on Tuesday.
The Salukis finished with a three-round score of 969 (320, 327, 322) and were led by Margaret Gilley who tied for 40th place with a score of 242 (78, 81, 83).
"We didn't play as well as we wanted to obviously and we didn't repeat our the kind of success we've been having this season and were looking forward to our next tournament to turn things around," head coach Diane Daugherty said.
Ashleigh Rushing finished in a tie for 44th place with a score of 243 (77, 83, 83) while Cassie Rushing finished in a tie for 46th place with a 244 (82, 80, 82).
Rounding out the team scores for the Salukis included Shaina Rennegarbe with in a tie for 48th place with a 245 (85, 84, 76) and Alisha Matthews with a score of 247 (83, 83, 81) finished in 53rd place overall.
The Salukis will return to the links Oct. 18-19 when they participate in the Payne Stewart Memorial in Springfield, Mo.
