NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released updated national team rankings and the first edition of the regional team index for the 2010 outdoor track & field season in Division I on Tuesday.
The Southern Illinois women's track and field team moved from 34th to up to 23rd in the country after a strong showing at the 101st Drake Relays over the weekend. The Salukis also rank fifth in the Midwest Region.
SIU has 20 marks in the top-75 in the country, including four top-10 rankings in the throws. The Salukis also have 16 top-25 rankings in the West Region.
