Cross Country heads east for Greater Louisville Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki cross country team will hit the road this weekend when they travel to the Greater Louisville Classic Saturday, as they look to build off of the success from last weekend's Saluki Invitational.

Greater Louisville Classic Meet Information

Over thirty teams will be competing in each race at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park, including national powers Missouri, Georgia, Florida, co-host Louisville, and Kentucky, along with MVC foes Illinois State and Evansville.

The meet will begin with the men's 8K race beginning at 8:30 a.m. CT, followed by the women's at 9:15 a.m.

Both teams are coming off of team and individual wins at the Saluki Invitational, as seniors Dan Dunbar and Emily Toennies captured race wins en route to a Saluki sweep. In addition, both teams placed three runners in the top four finishers of each race.
