Women's golf prepares for NIU Snowbird

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois women's golf team will spend spring break in Florida as it takes part in the 25th annual NIU Snowbird.
The two-day tournament begins on Thursday at the par 71, 6,436 yard Pebble Creek Golf Club in Tampa, Fla.
The Salukis are coming off a 11th place finish at the Rio Verde Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. paced by Cassie Rushing's 27th place overall finish.
" We hope to pick up where we left off in Arizona with our final round of 302 and we are very excited to be back on the course," Head coach Diane Daugherty said.
Each day consists of 18-holes and is hosted by Northern Illinois University.
