Women's Basketball to hold free clinic

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois women's basketball team will hold a free clinic for girls in eighth grade and below Saturday, May 7 at SIU Arena.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the clinic will run from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Participants will learn basketball skills, drills and fundamentals from Saluki players and coaches. All participants will receive a free SIU basketball T-shirt.

Clinic participants are also encouraged to stick around after the clinic to attend the SIU softball team's doubleheader against Drake at Charlotte West Stadium, Rochman Field. The games are scheduled for noon and 2 p.m.
