Volleyball to hold scrimmage Saturday

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois volleyball team will hold its first scrimmage of the 2011 preseason at 11 a.m. Saturday at Davies Gym.
Saluki fans will have a chance to get their first look at the 2011 team as it partakes in an inter-squad scrimmage. Admission is free.
The team will also have a second scrimmage at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, at SIU Arena.
The Salukis open the season August 26-27 at the Mississippi State Maroon Classic in Starkville, Miss. SIU takes on the host Bulldogs at 7 p.m. August 26 before facing Southeastern Louisiana at 10 a.m. and UT Martin at 4:30 p.m. August 27.
