Volleyball sweeps SE Louisiana, improves to 2-0

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois volleyball team swept Southeastern Louisiana 25-22, 25-21, 25-16 this morning at the Mississippi State Maroon Invitational in Starkville, Miss.
The Salukis (2-0) survived a back-and-forth first set before overcoming a six-point deficit to take the second set. The third set saw Southern control throughout for a convincing nine-point win over the Lions (0-2).
Due to technical difficulties at the Newell-Grissom Building, statistics weren't immediately available. They will be posted later today at SIUSalukis.com.
SIU closes out the Maroon Invitational against UT Martin at 4:30 p.m. today. A live video stream of that match will be available here.
