This is the thirteenth weekly installment of diaries from the 2012 Saluki volleyball team.

After a full week of classes, practices, and studying we were excited to take on our last weekend at Davies. Friday before the match the athletic department announced the ribbon cutting of our newly remodeled locker room. Dr. Charlotte West and Chancellor Rita Cheng were both able to be in attendance and gave a few motivational words to the team. It was awesome to have the first SIU volleyball coach there for this big event since she was a huge factor in how far women's athletics have come.
After a hard fought battle we lost a close four game match to the University of Northern Iowa. Although we were disappointed that we came up short, we had a quick turnaround for Senior Night the next night against Bradley.
We knew they weren't going to go down without a fight, but we beat them in four for our 20th win of the season! After the game each senior was recognized for all of our accomplishments this far and was presented with a framed jersey from the coaching staff and a certificate to get manicures and pedicures from our teammates.
This week we will be focusing on a game plan for our last regular season games against Illinois State and Indiana State.
Thank you to everyone that came to our home games this season, our crowd was truly amazing throughout the whole season. Make sure to keep up with us on game tracker this coming weekend and during the MVC tournament. Go Dawgs!
