Jason Stegman earns Academic All-District honors

SIU long snapper Jason Stegman has been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District team for District V. The senior has a 3.73 cumulative GPA and is majoring in electrical engineering.

The voting for District V included all Division I FBS and FCS schools in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Stegman is one of five student-athletes selected in the offensive line category for the district. He is eligible for Capital One Academic All-American honors, which will be announced Dec. 6.
