Softball cancels game against South Alabama due to rain

JACKSONVILLE, Ala. - Rain has forced the cancellation of today's game between Southern Illinois and South Alabama in the final day of the JSU Invitational.

All remaining tournament games have also been cancelled. A large rain system moved through the area yesterday upon the conclusion of SIU's game against South Alabama, leaving field conditions soggy and unplayable.

The Salukis are back in action Friday as they begin play in the Citrus Classic in Orlando, Fla.
