Kerri Blaylock named to NCAA Division I Softball Committee

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - SIU Softball head coach Kerri Blaylock has been selected to the NCAA Division I Softball Committee, announced at the NCAA cabinet meeting held February 8-9 in Dallas, Texas.
This is the first time Blaylock has been appointed to the committee. She has previously served as an alternate and on regional committees in prior years. As a member, a chair serves on the regional advisory committee and conducts regularly scheduled conference calls to review and rank teams regionally and nationally. They participate in the selection of 64-team bracket for the NCAA Tournament and attend the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Members also serve as a NCAA representative at preliminary sites, like regional or super sectional competition during the NCAA Tournament. Blaylock is the only representative from the Missouri Valley Conference on the committee.
Blaylock is in her 13th year with Southern Illinois and currently holds a 458-208 career record as a head coach.
