SAAC hosts kickball tournament supporting Harrisburg families

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Student Athlete Advisory Committee, in conjunction with the Student Recreation Center's intramural leagues, is hosting a kickball tournament on May 3 at 3 p.m. The event is part of a continuing project to help Harrisburg victims. Donations are being accepted at gofundme.com/siu4harrisburg. Donations will support families affected by the Feb. 29 tornado that went through Harrisburg.

Sixteen teams will compete at the Rec fields starting at 3 p.m. Games will last about a half hour each, and the event is expected to last until at least 8 p.m. Around 100 students have reserved a spot in the tournament. Donations will be also be accepted during the games.
