Women's Basketball announces conference schedule

CARBONDALE, Ill.— The Southern Illinois women's basketball team announced its 2012-13 Missouri Valley Conference schedule Thursday.
The Salukis open conference play at home for the first time in three seasons as Southern welcomes Creighton to SIU Arena Jan. 3. Southern will play five of seven games at home on the back end of its Valley schedule as the Salukis host Evansville (Feb. 9), Illinois State (Feb. 14), Indiana State (Feb. 16), Bradley (March 1) and Northern Iowa (March 3) during that stretch.
The Missouri Valley Conference will announce its television schedule later this month. Game times are subject to change.
