Pucylowski named FCS ADA Academic All-Star

SIU junior punter Austin Pucylowski has been named to the Football Championship Subdivision Athletic Directors Association Academic All-Star Team, the FCS ADA announced.
Each of the 121 FCS schools was able to nominate as many as two student-athletes for the honor. Pucylowski is one of 54 players in the nation selected for the honor.
Pucylowski averaged 40.2 yards per punt and ranked 22nd in the nation with a 37.6 net punting average. Only 14 of his 71 punts were returned for a total of 23 yards in 11 games.
He has a 4.0 GPA with a major in biological sciences and plans to enroll in medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon. In addition to this honor, Pucylowski has also been named to the MVC All-Academic second team and to the College Sports Journal FCS All-Academic Team following the 2012 season.
