Saluki Athletics participates in Southern Illinois Heart Walk

CARBONDALE, Ill.--Members of the Southern Illinois University athletic department participated in the Southern Illinois Heart Walk on Saturday, October 5 at John A. Logan College.
Saluki Athletics raised a total of $2,837 dollars through fundraising efforts including Jeans for Charity and the Dunk Tank event. Several staff members of the athletic department also individually fundraised. The money raised will be donated to the American Heart Association.
Kristina Therriault-Stepps, Liz Jordan, Kelsey Hall, Alysia Armstrong and Mickenzie Devening represented the department at the Heart Walk on Saturday. Cristina Trapani organized the fundraising event and activities.
The Saluki Athletic department led all other departments on campus in monetary donations.
