Barchan named to MVC All-Tournament Team

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois senior Morgan Barchan has been named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament team.
Barchan came up with Southern's biggest hit of the tournament, a grand slam in the fourth inning of Thursday's quarterfinal game against Northern Iowa that put the Salukis up 4-3. The Salukis ultimately fell 6-4 to the Panthers, who went on to win Saturday's tournament championship 2-1 over Evansville.
Southern's leadoff hitter, Barchan also drew four walks and scored three total runs in two tournament games for the Salukis.
