CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois football team will hold a tryout on Sunday, Aug. 18 for SIU students interested in joining the program. The team will hold a meeting for prospective players at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 in the Saluki Football offices in the Boydston Center. The on-field workout will follow at Saluki Stadium at 10 a.m. on Aug. 18.

Three former walk-ons - All-American defensive end Ken Boatright, fullback Ray Agnew and long snapper Jason Stegman - started for the Salukis in 2012.
