Tickets available for season opener at Illinois

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Tickets for the Southern Illinois football team's season opening game at Illinois are available now for purchase from the Saluki Athletics box office. The game will kick off at 11 a.m. on Aug. 31 at Memorial Stadium in Champaign, Ill. Tickets are $39 and can be purchased by calling the box office at 1-877-SALUKIS (1-877-725-8547). The box office is open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
In addition, the SIU Alumni Association is inviting all alumni and Saluki fans to tailgate at Memorial Stadium prior to the game. The package includes a game ticket in section 108 and a pregame tailgate with a meal. For SIU Alumni Association members, the price is $50 for adults and $33 for children ages three to 12. For nonmembers, the cost is $69 for adults and $50 for children. All children under three years old are free. Full information on the even is available on the SIU Alumni Association website.
