CARBONDALE, Ill. - Senior linebacker Bryan Presume has been named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in SIU's 36-19 win over Southeast Missouri State at Busch Stadium.
Presume led the team with nine tackles, seven of them solo stops, in Saturday's game. The SIU captain sealed the victory with his interception and 34-yard return on SEMO's final possession of the game. He also blocked an extra point attempt and had one tackle for loss. In addition, Presume forced a fumble on the Redhawks' second-to-last possession of the game and had one pass breakup in the game.
