Softball announces fall hitting academy

CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Southern Illinois softball team has announced dates for its fall 2013 hitting academy.
The academy will take place on four consecutive Wednesday nights between October 16 and November 6. Each night will consist of an hour of hitting instruction in a small group setting with the SIU coaching staff. Sessions are available starting at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The academy is open to individuals in grades seven through 12. Cost of the academy is $90 per individual and each session is limited to 10 participants. Interested parties can contact SIU associate head coach Jen Sewell by phone at (618)453-5455, or by e-mail at jsewell@siu.edu.
